Luis Cooks!
He promised us an african-style dinner and he kept his word!
We arrived at his place and spent some sweet time there. With Luis, Mario, Anabela and... Carla, I guess? Well, it was something different than an european-style dinner, just a dish with some really (I mean REALLY) easy to prepare food and a plate of rice. Then there was some ice-cream and they started to play some cards, like their polish visitors didn't exist :D I think this has to do with some african hospitality, like 'my house is your house' attitude. Anyway, see the pictures :-)
...and also a visit to Salamanca
Yes, on the next day we took off about 11-12 o'clock and arrived in Salamanca, where we spent the whole day walking around. Not too much to mention, but of course it was fun :-)
Visita de Ula
See for yourself who has visited me!
My long, long, long... long time friend, Ula B, has enrolled to a summer spanish course in Salamanca. Salamanca just turns out to be about 200kms from me, so we had to meet :-)
The first idea was to meet at Salamanca on Friday and after one day go back to my place and then maybe visit Porto. But it failed a little because of the work I had to do, so the new plan was: we meet in Covilha, spent some quality time here and go back to Salamanca on Sunday.
We managed to go to Erada (of course) and walk a little in the mountains (just about 5 minutes ;-), then visit Jacinto and Rita in their house.
Two day party!
Two nice days, of which one included an afternoon in the pool and some beers in the park and another SANGRIA party and WET party in Companhia :-) Imagine water going down from the roof, soaking everubody wet... oh yeah, it was good :-) Check out the pictures!
Mate
Yesterday they split, went to Lisbon where they should spend the last two days of their stay in Portugal. On Friday they have a plane to catch there. Good that it finally happened, mate! We've been planning this for two years :-) Arrrr!
New toy - Mpx220
I was dancing around that phone since June, nobody knew it back then. I was asking for it in the PhoneHouse and the ladies made the silliest faces :-) But here it is now, right in my pocket. Not too bad, but I have to read about it some more, cause it has some surprises ;P
Erada Pool trip... small trip, but still a trip :-)
Just a couple hours on the sun and in the water of beautiful Erada Swimming Pool. Not to much to say, just some pictures of a great weather, hot sun and nice, cool water!
And some terrible music, by the way! :-P
Aveiro... yet again??
Well, it is the closest ocean spot, that we have... And the circumstances were like this:
My mate, Patryk, visited me for a taste of Portugal and to see how are things goin' with me. Because now I don't have holidays at all, I couldn't do too much.. but lat monday was a free day for all of us (me and Ania), so we decided to go ocean-side, even just for one day!
We packed up some basic things and went on. Not too much happened, really :-) We stopped at the same spot as the last time and just spent a day over there. The weather was great, the waves - quite rough and the sand hot as always! I gotta tell ya, next time we have to go there for at least three days, and do some serious bodyboarding! I am starting to forget that amazing feeling! :-)
New Aveiro trip
So it was about time to show my family the Big Blue! My sister was dying to go there and my mom was very curious also. We took the necessary equipment and off we went, the three of us. We landed on the Costa Nova camping, the one we previously used. And what to tell more - there were just three days of beach, sand, sunbathing and the ocean. We didn't rent any surfing equip this time, although I had some urge to do that! But let's save it for the next time :-)
We spent some nice time and came back to Covilha, where there was a surprise - a thunder storm. But it didn't disturb us from resting and that's what we did. After some rest - surprise! We went to Companhia for an African Night party. Monica is to lively on the floor and she has to watch it! :P Too many tall, big guys were having some hots on her, but luckily most of them I knew, heh.
Some trips
To show the best of Portugal, is not such an easy thing. But to please my mom and sis - that's easier than I expected. Just after arriving to Covilha and seeing a couple narrow streets, filled with floweres - they were stunned! They love the place and the ambience, who would've expected that? Then it got even better - I took them to Erada (the great open-air swimming pool in the area). Again, there were so many oohs and aaahs, that you could think we were in a private Heaven! Last short-term trip was to Monsanto with Jacinto. It's a castle village that is situated about 40 kms from Covilha. Well, I have to say that even I was enjoying a lot, cause I haven't seen it yet. The surroundings were amazing and the weather great, maybe even a little too great (difficult to move in such heat).
She's here!
Finally, after more than a month of... well, bachelor livin', Ania is back! Yes, she's here! :-) And not only her, she brought some VIPs along! My mom and my sis have visited me, to see Portugal and how am I doing here. And also another Ania, a very good friend of my Ania, has come. We'll be staying here for some time, exploring, resting and partying of course!
